Current initiatives undertaken by Writing and Communication faculty include the following:

Georgia Tech Sounds Podcast

Dr. Lauren Neefe, Brittain Fellow, and Alison Valk, Multimedia Instruction Librarian, are developing a regular podcast, tentatively titled “Georgia Tech Sounds.”

Student View Exhibit

The Arts Initiatives Committee is co-sponsoring and coordinating the Student View art exhibit to coincide with the Tech Arts Festival. The exhibit runs from February 18-March 7 at the Ferst Center galleries. For more information about the event and the submission process see Caitlin Kelly’s TECHStyle post, “Student View 2015 Seeking Nominations.”

The Writing and Communication Program developed a new custom textbook for English 1101 and English 1102, which was adopted in Fall 2015. This new physical textbook continues to address the program’s WOVEN multimodal teaching philosophy and includes many sections written by Writing and Communication faculty.

Examples of the collaborations between the Writing and Communication Program and the Georgia Tech Library can be found on the new Co-Labs website. Collaborations with other units on campus as well as with community partners will be spotlighted in the future.
