Overview
Personal Pronouns:
she/herMegan Mericle's research explores how norms of expertise and citizenship impact science communication practices in community settings. She received her PhD from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where she contributed to Writing Across Engineering and Science (WAES), a transdisciplinary Writing Across the Curriculum effort focused on integrating writing instruction in engineering curricula. Drawing on her writing program administration experience, Megan is currently investigating the impacts of alternative assessment (or "ungrading") systems on student writers.
