Overview
Kate Holterhoff's research areas include nineteenth-century British literature, visual culture, digital humanities, and the history of science. She has published articles in English Literature in Transition, 1880-1920 (Forthcoming), The Journal of Victorian Culture, The Journal of the History of Biology, and Victorian Network. Her current visual culture and digital humanities work considers the role of metadata to the analysis of illustrated texts. Dr. Holterhoff directs and edits the literary and art historical resource Visual Haggard: The Illustration Archive, a digital archive intended to centralize and improve access to the illustrations of popular Victorian novelist H. Rider Haggard.
