Interests

Teaching Interests:
I teach classes on popular culture -- including Disney, time-travel television, and 1980s dark fantasy. My teaching interests involve helping students understand how film, television, and literature can be thought about and written about critically, rather than merely as entertainment.
Research Interests:
My primary expertise is in film and television studies, with a specific focus on science-fiction and fantasy film and television. I also work in the field of adaptation studies, exploring how literature is adapted into film and television.
