Sean Dolan is a Brittain Fellow in Georgia Tech’s School of Literature, Media, and Communication. His teaching focuses on the use of narrative in argumentation and interpreting the social world—including courses exploring themes of ethnography and ritual. Sean is a cultural anthropologist (PhD, Emory University 2009) whose research investigates the transformation of religious life in societies that are increasingly integrated into global capitalist market systems. His research is based in Muslim Southeast Asia, particularly Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
