Overview
Wendy J. Truran earned her Ph.D. from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Her scholarship focuses on Modernist literature, affect, and structures of feeling. She has published work in several edited collections including on W.B. Yeats (Irish Modernism, Edinburgh University Press, 2020); James Joyce (Ulysses: Philosophical Perspectives, Oxford University Press, 2020); and May Sinclair (May Sinclair: Re-Thinking Bodies and Minds, Edinburgh University Press, 2017). She is a co-Editor of the peer-reviewed journal Capacious: Journal for Emerging Affect Inquiry. At Georgia Tech she has recently taught causes such as “Transnational Modernist Poetry” and “Multimodal Moods of Modernism” and she has recently taught a course focusing on fostering academic resilience.
