Marion L. Brittain Postdoctoral Fellows lead the way in collaborating with colleagues to research and create innovative digital pedagogies for the classroom and with students to advance their synergistic use of WOVEN (written-oral-visual-electronic-nonverbal) modalities across the disciplines. The Writing and Communication Program’s DevLab is directed by Brittain Fellow Dr. Jason W. Ellis.
- Space: DevLab accommodates individual research and group activities with ample work space and five white boards.
- Resources: DevLab provides workstations, software, tablets, cameras, a recording booth, and more.
- Expertise: DevLab supports the digital pedagogy of the program. Its members share what they know and learn.
- Collaboration: DevLab encourages collaboration in research, training, and teaching.
DevLab leads the way in developing new pedagogies, following new approaches, and employing new tools. Its current committee members include Drs. Lisa Dusenberry, Marty Fink, James Gregory, Valerie Johnson, Jonathan Kotchian, Mirja Lobnik, and Rebecca Weaver.
Jason W. Ellis (PhD, Kent State University, 2012; BS, Georgia Tech, 2006) concentrates his research and teaching on 20th-century American literature, new media, and neuroscientific topics. He enjoys teaching others how to make things.
